A till that lives in software, not in a box

Traditional tills tie you to hardware, engineer visits and a cash-up ritual done on paper at 1am. TAB gives you the till functions that matter — fast entry, staff attribution and shift reporting — as software you can open on any device.

Fast entry built for bar speed

Quick-add tiles cover your top sellers so a round goes on in a couple of taps, and a numeric keypad handles specials, food and anything unusual. Every item records the staff member who added it, so a shift's entries can be traced without interrogating anyone.

OCR receipt and till-slip scanning

Where you still print paper — a legacy till Z slip, a supplier receipt, a manual bar tab — staff can photograph it in the portal. TAB reads the total from the image so it doesn't have to be typed in from a curled thermal print.

Scanning is deliberately review-only: the figure it reads is offered for a human to confirm and never silently changes a guest's bill or a shift total. Photos are stored privately against the tab or the shift, so the paper trail stays attached to the record it belongs to.

Live X-report during service

Managers get a live X-report that refreshes through the shift and is completely non-destructive — reading it never resets a total:

  • Open tabs and their unsettled value right now
  • Tabs closed today and total card funds captured
  • Revenue and tab counts per staff member, so performance is visible mid-shift

Z-report closeout, locked once

At the end of trade, a manager photographs the paper Z slip, confirms the expected till total, and closes the shift. TAB stores the expected total, the actual funds captured, the variance, the per-cashier breakdown and the slip photo — then locks that day so it can't be closed twice or quietly edited afterwards.

Cash-up stops being an argument about memory and becomes a record: what was expected, what actually landed, who took it, and the photo to back it up.

Works when the Wi-Fi doesn't

Bars have blind spots. If the connection drops, the portal shows a clear warning, items you add appear immediately, and staff are told straight away if something didn't save — instead of discovering it at midnight.
